Dolphin Studio w/Gourmet Kitchen+AC Steps To Poipu Beach

We wished the Studio had lived up to its hype. Positive: Location was prime. Layout of studio was perfect for two. Island treats left in fridge for us a pleasant surprise. Kitchen equipment meant one could easily cook meals and enjoy quiet evenings. Powerful air conditioning meant we could cool place quickly when needed. Negative: When spending $2000 for 4 nights lodging, it is reasonable to expect everything to be nearly perfect. It wasn’t. TV wasn’t workable and caretaker had to come over and help us watch the Tonys. Not very successfully and we could never get the tv to work after he left us. ( Instructions were for a different tv system that were never updated). Missed most of our show. All four lamps needed 3 way bulbs so guests could read. Toilet needed to be resealed to floor as it was loose when one used it. Garbage disposal, though seemingly new, didn’t work efficiency so we ended up throwing everything in garbage. Cleaning fee of $180 was ridiculous commensurate to size of place.

Location was perfect, bed very comfortable, but because of the bugs in the kitchen I was not able to fully use it. Positive: Bed was very comfortable and location was perfect. Negative: Dark unit and bugs( cockroaches) in the kitchen.

It was a great stay. Would definitely recommend. Positive: Location, accommodations Negative: Everything was perfect. Wish there were boogie boards available.

Excellent quiet location. Positive: Thank you for the treats left for breakfast. the room was clean and well furnished and the hosts were excellent. I had some difficult with the men box on arrival and was helped by the cab driver and had to call the hosts( who were very helpful). My room was a little cold and there was not a spare blanket and it took me a while to work out how to turn the air-conditioning on. I really enjoyed my stay and the hospitality was excellent. Negative: More variety for breakfast, an extra bed cover. otherwise all was very good.

Neglected studio Positive: Position- good location Negative: Old & ugly furnishings- floor tiles missing grout & always seemed dirty - screen door wouldn’t stay in - told host about it but no action taken. Inconsistent shower & rust marks on wall. Air-con was portable unit placed on lounge floor Basically tired accomodation with no care considered for guests- not value for money
